Artist Statement
I am interested in human beings. I am interested in the tensions and contradictions we carry around with us every day… things which are never completely one thing or another… which are at the same time ancient and modern, invincible and fragile, sacred and pedestrian… things which are at the same time joyful and immeasurably sad. I am interested in feelings… nuanced, complex feelings… like something seen out of the corner of your eye, which you somehow know was significant. I am interested in the hopes and anxieties we hold about the future, and the ways they play out in our lives.
